PDF Print To PDF

Please follow the below steps to setup your Primus platform email into your mail client.
  • Open Mac Mail splash screen or mailbox contents.
  • Ensuring your mail program is selected, in your menu bar find "Mail" and click to drop down a new menu. Select "Preferences" to display a new window.
  • A new window will appear, showing all your accounts on the left hand column, with the account information in the right pane. To add a new account, find the "+" mark on the bottom left of the window and click this button. A new screen will appear for us to complete.
  • Select the mailbox type as a "POP". Your account description will be how you will see your account on this computer, and you may name it however you wish. Complete your full name as you wish it to be displayed to your recipients. In the email address field, please type in your full email address.
  • You will now be asked to complete the server addresses. For all Primus mail accounts, incoming mail is routed through pop.primus.ca. Please ensure to complete your full mailbox address as well as the associated password.
  • Now complete the outgoing (SMTP) server information. All SMTP email is routed through smtp.primus.ca. Please ensure to enable authentication, complete with your full mailbox name and password (this will be the same as your incoming mailbox credentials).
  • You will be presented with an account summary. Please confirm all credentials are correct. Should you need to correct anything, please use the back command, otherwise accept and move forward to be presented with your new account screen. At the bottom of the screen click on "Server Settings" for the outgoing server.
  • Ensure that your outgoing (SMTP) port is set to 465, and the "Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is ticked. Once completed, please click "OK" and then exit your account properties. Your account is now ready to use!
